Only a T-Bird would truly understand that heading...
So I don't know if this is a common problem among any of the rest of you...but I seem to have acquired a husband who has particularly itchy feet.
No? Just me?
Because Ben is always itching' for a new adventure. And sometimes I'm like, "Let's go!!" And sometimes I'm like, "Can't we stay at home for once?" Cause I can be lame like that.
The week before President's Day, Ben was like, "Let's get out of Rexburg this weekend." And I hesitated and let my feet drag for a little while before finally signing on to this impromptu adventure. And I am so glad that I said okay!
We decided on Southern Utah for several reasons. I went to school at SUU and that's where Ben and I met. Southern Utah holds so many good memories for us. But mostly, it was 80 degrees down there versus the freezing temps of Rexburg so it was an easy decision.
I will apologize now for the fact that you are only getting a snippet of the pictures I took (with my new camera eeee!). I'm at the school and their computers are slooooooowwww! So This is the best I can do for now (with the amount of patience I have).
We started out Saturday (which happened to be Valentine's Day) at Kolob Canyon:

Eric and Linda were cool enough to come with us! We were so glad to be vacationing with them!
We went on some really pretty hikes. I love the red rocks!
This is the exact spot where Ben proposed to me almost 3 years ago! I wore my SUU shirt because I was feeling festive, you know (I didn't realize Ben was wearing his too...). But most people just figured we were students. Oops. Oh well.
Linda has some friends who own a house in La Verkin. They were kind enough to let us stay there for free! The house was gorgeous and in just the right location.
Yay for Red Rocks!! That is definitely one thing I miss about Southern Utah. It's so beautiful.
We stopped at Sand Hollow. I'd never been there before but it was gorgeous! The water was crystal clear blue. We were there on Sunday, so we didn't swim. But we really enjoyed sitting on the rocks and soaking up some rays.
Linda gave us Love Hearts for Valentines.
The temple grounds and visitors center were packed when we went! But I still love this temple so much! When Ben and I were dating, we'd go on temple dates where we'd do baptisms, then get dinner and frozen yogurt. Sometimes I'd convince him to go shopping with me (most of the time not).
Man, I wish this computer would pick up it's pace so I could show you more pictures! But just know that our trip was totally amazing! We went hiking, we went to the Aquatic Center in Cedar City. We shopped. We went to the Spin Park. We drove to Colorado City. We picked pecans (true story). It was just wonderful. I'm so glad we went.
I think a piece of my heart will always belong in Southern Utah :)
